Schedule:	4-12 hour shifts every other weekend with rotation of holidays.
Description:	The Physician Assistant under the general supervision of the Surgeon-in-Chief and Director, Clinical Business Affairs, performs a variety of duties to encompass, but are not limited to the care and management of pre and post operative general surgical patients, including assisting in the operating rooms. All essential functions performed in this position reflect the age specific needs of the patient.
Requirements:	Graduate of a Physician’s Assistant Program. Certification by the National Commission on the Accreditation of Physician Assistants and current certification as upheld by the Rhode Island Board of Certifying Physicians Assistants. EXPERIENCE: Three to five years’ experience in a clinical general surgical practice and experience in general surgical procedures. Experience in Orthopedic and Emergency Room procedures preferable.
